How to Prepare the Perfect Bath

June 18, 2018 | 0 | posted in BEAUTY BUZZ

Sometimes, the best thing after a rough day is taking a nice, relaxing bath. It's great for unwinding and de-stressing after a long day of work. However, it's important to create the perfect bathing atmosphere for ultimate relaxation. Everything from lighting to bath salts can influence your bathing experience. That's why we're here to help: we'll show you exactly how to craft the perfect bath for yourself so you can indulge in peaceful tranquility.

How to prepare the perfect bath.

Step 1 | Alone time

First, begin by making sure you're alone. If you live with others, ask them to leave the house for a bit, or take a bath when they're already out. Taking a bath in a noisy house is far from relaxing! If you cannot get alone time, consider playing some relaxing tunes and locking the bathroom door to ensure tranquility. Classical piano music is a good choice, but you can also choose to listen to nature sounds, like ocean waves hitting a sandy beach. One of our favourite spa CDs, Heart of the Earth, is perfect for relaxing in the bath. The mellifluous sacred chants promote deep relaxation and promote overall well-being. All melodies and lyrics are sung by Denise Leicester and are traditional Sanskrit mantras. All the other music composed, played and produced is by 'Tabla' Tom Simenauer. Let it drown out the sounds of the mundane and pull you deep within yourself to a peaceful state of bliss.

Step 2 | Creating the atmosphere

Next, dim the lights (if you can), or completely shut them off and light some candles instead. We recommend our Neom Tranquillity Scented Candle – not only will they create beautiful dim lighting, but they also release a wonderful smell with therapeutic benefits. Blended with only the purest possible essential oils, this candle contains absolutely no toxins. The candle is a blend of English lavender, sweet basil and jasmine, creating one heavenly scent. Just light the wick, place in a safe location, and let the dull light and amazing scent unwind you as you prepare your bath.

Step 3 | Preparing + entering the bath

Now, begin filling up the tub with warm/hot water. If you'd like, consider decorating the bath water with some dried flowers once it's full up. Just make sure you use some pesticide-free, non-dyed flowers. Organic flowers are ideal because they were grown without pesticides and can actually impart the water with some of their healing essences. You can actually add The Good Hippie Balance Facial Steam flowers to your bath, if you can't find organic flowers sold near you. They do the trick and work just as well (plus they make your bath water look so pretty). This is completely optional of course, but it is a nice touch. Next, you're going to want to add in The Good Hippie Calm Bath Salts: these combine the soothing scents of lavender, bergamot and sandalwood into one harmonious blend. To use, just add a generous amount to your bath water, swirl it around with your hand, and get in. Let your body sink into the infused water and melt the stress away. Close your eyes, breath in, breath out, and let the day's woes vanish. We guarantee you'll have the best night's sleep ever if you do this right before bed. Soak and indulge yourself for at least 10 minutes, if not 20 minutes. The rest of the world can wait.
